Brigade Electronics return to the Intermat show in Paris this year with an extensive range of quality vehicle safety devices including a rugged monitor designed for open or cab-less vehicles used in harsh environments.
Vehicle safety experts, Brigade, will be demonstrating the new BE-970 FM camera monitor system in hall 5A Stand J119. The monitor is water resistant to IP67, ideal for vehicles and plant with exposed operator positions. The 7 inch TFT LCD anti glare monitor is ideal for vehicles such as dumper trucks, tractors, loaders, tarmac layers and tele-lifts open to the elements.
Brigade has taken this technology to the next stage with a robust design that conforms to SA-J1455 for use in harsh environments and ISO 13766:2006 standards for electrical compatibility for earth moving machinery.
The BE-970 FM monitor has picture in picture screen options, allowing the driver to view all the blind spots on one monitor, preventing information overload from multiple mirrors. Single, split and quad options can also be selected for safe and easy manoeuvring. The heavy duty bracket is steadier for the weightier monitor and can withstand higher shock and vibration levels.
Brigade will be taking the opportunity to launch their new tamper proof monitor. The BE-870FM allows fleet operators to disable the driver’s ability to adjust monitor settings, by locking the control panel, whilst retaining necessary functionality. This prevents malfunction from driver interference, ensuring visibility of the blind spots.
Brigade will also be launching the new heavy duty, Xtreme Backsense for construction, mining and quarry industries. The radar detection system senses both moving and stationary objects in all terrains, temperatures and weather conditions. Xtreme Backsense provides the operator with a graduated visual warning and an audible signal up to 6, 8 or 10 metre ranges. Multiple sensors can be networked together to provide the greatest area of coverage.
Brigade has a new range of movement sensors that detect people and objects in the driver’s path and assist safe and easy manoeuvring. The range includes side, front and corner Backscan systems.
Also on display will be Brigade’s new self adjusting white sound reversing alarm. The SA-bbs-tek alarm measures the sound pressure level and adjusts the alarm up or down to maintain just 5-10dB louder.
Brigade’s white sound reversing alarms (bbs-tek) are now considered the safest on the market. The distinct “ssh ssh” sound is locatable and directional unlike conventional ‘bleeping’ alarms, whose sound is so pervasive that it can be heard well outside the danger area, with the result that people can become desensitised and ignore them. The bbs-tek alarm only sounds in the immediate danger area, reducing noise pollution.
Vehicle safety experts, Brigade Electronics, provide comprehensive solutions for commercial vehicle safety including mobile plant machinery. The company’s extensive range of vehicle safety devices include camera monitor systems, white sound reversing alarms, movement sensors, digital recorders and blind spot mirrors.
