Brigade Launches New Pulsed Radar System at Samoter

Brigade Electronics return to Samoter this year to launch their new pulsed radar system which boasts impressive close-in corner to corner blind-spot detection.

The Workzone Backsense is ideal for light to medium duty mobile plant machinery, completing Brigade’s portfolio of Xtreme and Standard pulsed radar obstacle-detection systems.

Unlike most radar systems Workzone has two antennas offering complimentary detection ranges. One antenna offers a shorter radar beam for close-in detection across the back of the vehicle, whilst the other offers a 3 metre range and is approximately the width of the vehicle, thus preventing false alarms. The sensors are connected to an-in cab warning device to alert the driver of an object, vehicle or person in his danger zone when manoeuvring

White sound reversing alarms (bbs-tek) will also be a strong feature at Samoter, as Brigade begins to phase out the beeping tonal alarms. Bbs-tek has been heralded as the safest and yet quietest alarm on the market. The sound source is directional and therefore locatable, unlike tonal alarms which can cause disorientation. They can only be heard in the danger zone, preventing noise nuisance.

Also on display (Hall 8, stand E8) will be a range of camera-monitor systems including Brigade’s new waterproof monitor. The BE-970 WM meets OEM requirements and has a new modern style fascia with metal casing.
