Brigade – Improving Safety and Efficiency for Agricultural machines.

Brigade Electronics will be displaying a range of products, to maximise vehicle safety and efficiency, at the world’s largest exhibition for agricultural machinery in Hanover, Germany (10-14 November).

Brigade, who can be found in hall 6, stand J20 at Agritechnica, will be demonstrating an extensive range of camera systems to monitor vehicle load or machinery that cannot be seen by the operator and provide all round visibility of the blind spots. The range includes flat screen, LCD monitors in a range of sizes, with up to four camera inputs and infrared LEDs for ultra-low light performance.

Increased visibility allows operators to view every stage of the harvesting process to reduce soil and foliage collection, eliminate crop damage due to the picking element being too high or too low and increase crop collection.

Brigade’s vehicle safety solutions also aim to reduce the high fatality rate caused by moving vehicles in the industry. According to the European agency for safety and health at work agriculture has the worst fatal accident rate than any other industry in Europe.

Also on display, Brigade’s new pulsed radar detection systems. Backsense detects people and objects in the operator’s blind spot. The graduated visual and audible display in the cab warns the operator if a person or object is in the detection zone and can be programmed to ignore fixed objects, bodywork and attachments.

Other products include, white sound reversing alarms, which are the quietest and safest on the market and Backchat, Brigade’s real speech warning alarms, which provide bespoke messages such as “warning handbrake not applied” or “remove key before exiting cab.”
