Brigade Electronics' demonstration truck is on display at the CV show this week with all its latest vehicle safety products including their NEW wireless camera monitor system. Visit us in Hall 3A / Stand E60.
Wireless camera-monitor systems have been on the market for several years but have demonstrated poor quality picture caused by electrical interference from other vehicle systems. In test conditions Brigade found that wireless systems only worked in optimal conditions, not typical in the automotive sector and as safety experts, did not want to bring a product to market that was not safe.
New digital technology has vastly improved the stability of picture performance and following extensive product testing, Brigade will be launching their new wireless system at the CV show. The system eliminates the need for suzie cables saving up to two hours fitment time. A re-pairing button on the receiver allows for interchangeable trailers making it ideal for multi drops.
Also on display will be Brigade’s NEW generation Sidescan® with improved reliability and outstanding accuracy. Sidescan® is a four sensor ultrasonic sensor system fitted along the side of a vehicle which detects cyclists and pedestrians in vehicle blind spots. The system provides an audible warning to the diver and an optional real speech warning to the cyclist – “caution vehicle turning left.”
NEW generation Sidescan® SS-4000W, is now five times faster and detects much smaller objects than was previously possible. Sensitivity and detection range are now adjustable to prevent false alarms and the buzzer is equipped with volume control for varying ambient levels.
Sidescan® now has vastly improved ‘general interference’ for improved use in adverse weather conditions such as wind and rain. In addition the waterproof control box can now be fitted closer to the sensors, significantly reducing the length of cables required for improved fitment time and ease. NEW to the product line are Cornerscan™, Frontscan® and Stepscan™ options which complement the existing Sidescan® and Backscan® ranges reducing vehicle damage and downtime costs.
Also on display will be Brigade’s mobile digital recording system (MDR-304™) that captures CCTV images, ideal for fleet operators frustrated with knock for knock claims, false claims and rising insurance premiums. The MDR-304™ has been upgraded, now with 500GB hard disc and improved download speed, making it ten times faster than before. A NEW optional G sensor enables recording to be triggered when excessive force is registered such as the driver slamming on the brakes, hitting a kerb or object.
Brigade’s revolutionary white sound reversing alarms (bbs-tek®) will be fitted to the rear of the vehicle, allowing visitors to experience the unique “ssh ssh” sound which is gentler and less irritating than old style “beep beep” alarms. White sound reversing alarms are endorsed by the Noise Abatement Society and certified by PIEK for use during quiet night time deliveries.
